One could consider Pearland to be
divided into two different towns.
Pearland East and Pearland West. The
west side is much newer but comes
with a lot of traffic and
congestion. Pearland east consists
of established neighborhoods with a
few smaller new home communities in
the area. some people consider "old
Pearland" to have that small town
atmosphere. The city of Pearland has
many new road projects planed for
the east side of Pearland to provide
easy access to the Pearland Parkway,
I-45, and hwy 288.
Some newer subdivisions include
The Lakes of Highland Glen,
Canterbury Park, Cabot Cove, and The
Villages at Mary's Creek.
If you are considering relocating
to the Houston area and for
commuting purposes, need to be on
the south part of Houston, Pearland
is most likely your best
choice. Pearland is very close to
the Texas Medical Center and
downtown.
